Direct Access Colonoscopy
We offer Direct Access Colonoscopy in coordination with Marin Health Gastroenterology, which may streamline the colonoscopy scheduling process for you.
With this option, patients with uncomplicated medical history, in good health, and between the ages of 45-70 years old can schedule their colonoscopy without a separate pre-procedure consultation/evaluation. This may be a more convenient and cost-effective option for you. If you meet the necessary medical criteria for a direct access colonoscopy, you can schedule the procedure after completing the required health forms linked below.
For safety reasons, an office visit is required before scheduling if any of the following apply to you:
- You have had a heart attack within the past six months
- You have a pacemaker or defibrillator
- You are on dialysis
- You get winded going up a flight of stairs
To see if you qualify, complete the necessary health history form here.
Once the form is completed, a nurse will review your medical history and the Marin Health team will contact you through MyChart to schedule your evaluation/procedure.
If you have any questions or prefer to schedule a consultation before proceeding, please don’t hesitate to contact the practice at (415) 925-6900.
Note: If you do not have a MyChart account set up with Marin Health, please contact the office at (415) 925-6900 and ask them to invite you to their MyChart Portal, or complete the MyChart registration form online for someone to contact you to create an account.
