Dr. Amir Prushani is board-certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. He is a graduate of Tehran University, Tehran, Iran. He completed his residency at Drexel University, Hahnemann University Hospital, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and completed his fellowship in gastroenterology at Wayne State University, Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, Michigan.

Dr. Amir Prushani has extensive experience caring for patients with acute and chronic liver diseases as well as patients with chronic gastrointestinal conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease. He is skilled in gastrointestinal procedures such as colonoscopy and upper endoscopy and has additional training in endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP).

While Dr. Prushani focuses on digestive and liver-related conditions, he is committed to treating each patient as a whole. He pays special attention to other organ systems, as well as the mind, which can significantly impact “gut feelings.” He is also passionate about providing patient education.
