Dr. Verheyen completed both his Gastroenterology & Hepatology fellowship and his Internal Medicine residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Health System in New York City. He is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada. Dr. Verheyen practices general Gastroenterology and Hepatology and has a special interest in gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), liver disease, and colon cancer screening and prevention. In his spare time, he enjoys the outdoors, biking, skiing, and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Verheyen is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine.
